On March 15th, the Chrysalis Academy, in collaboration with YearBeyond, proudly launched "On the Pulse."

This multimedia platform is dedicated to celebrating our youth by amplifying their voices and providing a platform for their views. The first podcast episode was unveiled during the launch, featuring inspiring stories from programme alumni Nastassja Stuurman (Chrysalis) and Zimkita Katu (YearBeyond).

This dynamic project empowers young minds to unleash their stories, insights, hopes, and dreams through various mediums such as podcasting, videography, photography, and writing, thus creating a powerful platform for self-expression and community connection.

Guy Redman, Head of Department at Western Cape Government Cultural Affairs and Sport, praised the collaborative efforts of Chrysalis Academy and YearBeyond in launching this new youth multimedia initiative. He emphasised the significance of Youth Voice as a cornerstone of the Youth Norms and Standards, stating, "It's important for us all to hear the voices of youth, and this platform will amplify their voices as a force for change."
