On Saturday, 2 September, the Chrysalis Academy welcomed 238 young women to its 3-month residential programme called 23 BRAVO course.

The Chrysalis programme focusses on cultivating resilience, leadership and agency among youth. Student from across the Western Cape were joined by their families for an Introductory Parent Workshop which focussed on positive parenting skills. Working with parents alongside youth is a key tenet of the Academy’s holistic approach to youth development and family strengthening.

On Monday, 4 September, student started their 3-week orientation phase by participating in workshops on Personal Mastery, Leadership, Diversity and Inclusivity and Emotional Intelligence ,among others. They will then enjoy a 2-week Outdoor Adventure Leadership Programme, followed by a 4-week Skills Phase and finally a 3-week Community Phase. Students will graduate on 25 November and will commence their year-long internship on 27 November.
